All components have arrived from fungizmos.com and I bought some spare parts from Radio Shack.  I assembled the proto board, and soldered pins to the LCD board and jumpered it and soldered pins to the the Wii Nunchuk adapter.  I was able to communicate with the LCD and the Wii Nunchuck after doing some basic testing.  I am not sure that I will definitely use the Nunchuck for control.  I will likely go to regular push buttons but may leave the Nunchuck available to use when the Pan-Tilt unit is built for control of that.  I may also write a library to use the LCD so that I do not have to use so much code each time I want to write something to the LCD or performany of the other functions that are available on the LCD.

What follows are the features I plan to start working on next for the All-In-One.

  • Focus – press a button and auto-focus the camera.
  • Basic shutter trigger – press a button and trigger the shutter.
  • Basic bulb shutter trigger – press a button to begin bulb mode, press again to stop.
  • Program bulb shutter trigger – program the time the shutter should be open, the shutter opens and then the shutter closes after the programmed time.
  • Basic time lapse – program a time between photos and number of photos.
  • Bulb time lapse – program a time between photos, the time the shutter should be open, and number of photos.

The next update will have basic schematics for the current circuitry along with a parts list and the code that I have written up until now.
